Fifteen participants joined the Sending with Care Seminar held at LSI on November 5-7, 2007. Grace Margaret Alag, Asian Center for Missions Missionary Care Director, was the speaker.

There were three main sessions during the seminar which included such topics as: overview of member care, staying healthy in difficult places and organizing to care.

The seminar was not only aimed at how churches, organizations and other interested individuals can provide care and support for their cross-cultural worker or missionary but it also taught principles which are useful for churches and organizations in overseeing the well-being of their workers.

Most of the LSI staff joined the seminar. The LSI team has gone on to adopt member care principles. One activity geared towards this was holding a team retreat last January 3-4.
